I am the Head Teacher Of Maria International School Of Bucharest in Romania. I am also very keen at developing different TES teaching resources to discover what works well for different classes. I am constantly looking for new and exciting different ways of presenting and teaching different primary topics, especially maths topics.

These worksheets are designed to be used time and again with different books.
These are designed to be used in guided reading sessions. Many of the worksheets are designed in such a way that a student can complete them independently. However, to get the maximum out of this book, I would highly recommend these worksheets are used to consolidate the learning taking place in the classroom.
Another use of this set of worksheets is additional homework sheets. I have used these sheets very effectively as a way of checking to see if students have read their book and do fully understand what they have read.
I hope you enjoy this book and that your students are inspired to take a more active, more motivated role in their own learning.
You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different flowers and plants being shown in each of the photos.
You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching set of story prompts.
The students could also take five of the laminated photos and create them into a story .
The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different activities being shown in each of the photos.
I have combined two teaching packs about poor children from around the world and also added a teaching guide which explains how to use these teaching resources in 31 different teaching activities in the classroom.
In addition, your students can look at how the poor live and then think about how their own life compares using the workbook.
You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about Children In Need.
The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different reasons why children are in need. The students can then discuss what they think each one was saying or thinking.
The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
I have further edited Levels 1 to levels 4 so there are now reading questions relating to every slide. I have mixed up all the original Thinking Hat colours and done away with black and white as I had teachers who felt these were not appropriate in a primary classroom and relaunched it all as Thinking Scarves - I hope you like the changes and leave me a nice comment below!
I found a set of 36 levelled reading books. I love them. They go from a beginning reader to all the way to teenager / adult. I also happen to have written 189 general reading worksheets, KS1 and KS2 reading worksheet schemes and I thought I would bring them all together in a single monster reading pack.
I have decided to focus my attention on getting these 40 books read and into primary schools. The books themselves are public domain. The fact is, I have spent a long time converting them into PowerPoints, so that you can both print them for the students and have it shown clearly on the interactive whiteboard.
I would love to know what people think of these teaching resources.

Calling all Active English Learners . . . !
Welcome to the English big activity book . The aim this time is to engage learners from about Level 1 (Intermediate) upwards in active English lessons. This extensive new collection provides a varied and interesting set of resources for practising a range of English language skills, from grammar to reading, and vocabulary building to developing research skills.
It’s divided into subject areas and there is a comprehensive answer section, which also gives notes for how to use the material. We have included two special sections towards the back of the book. The first is a collection of classroom games that have been tried and tested and really work. Some may be familiar while others are totally original. In publishing descriptions of these games and activities we are not in any way laying claim to having invented them. Our only aim is to disseminate ideas that work well at a range of levels and always seem to get a great response from learners.
The second special section is for reference and lists rhyming words, using the vowels and diphthongs from the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). These pages provide support for learners as they come to identify spelling patterns and match together words with the sounds of English. However you use the book, we hope that you’ll enjoy learning English and come to a deeper understanding and appreciation of this fabulous language – which can be so entirely frustrating at times and so difficult to learn!
Hope you really enjoy this book.
It’s packed from cover to cover with worksheets that will really inspire learners, covering a huge variety of language areas. It’s aimed at learners who are studying at about Level 1 and can be used with all types of English classes, as well as for home study, since the answers to all of the activities, plus notes for using the worksheets, are included at the back of the book.
it’s divided into sections according to type of language skills being practised, namely grammar, vocabulary, spelling, reading, speaking & listening, and research skills. There are some activities that continue on from worksheets in the last book, for example more worksheets on abstract nouns and common idioms, more material on adjectives and synonyms, and more advanced spelling challenges, as well as two brand new reading comprehension tests.
We’ve included lots of exclusive material that has been written especially for this book and hasn’t been available anywhere else before, including worksheets on ‘its or it’s’, adverbs, syllables, understanding maps, and Calculator Code Words. We hope that there’s loads of stuff here for learners of English to get their teeth into – wherever you may be studying!

• This pack contains 17 templates for creating your own worksheets, for use in lessons, for testing, or for homework. You can use them with any level – your choice of vocabulary and tenses will determine the level.
• This pack also includes a sample set of finished worksheets (with answers) on the topic of “Dentist”. The level is pre-intermediate to intermediate.
• You don’t need to create all the worksheets for a given topic; simply choose the ones you need. The worksheets are in four categories: vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and speaking & listening. Of course, you can also adapt the worksheets and include your own activities and categories.
• Remember, as the teacher, you should know the answers to the worksheets! By thinking about the answers and researching what you do not know, your teaching skills will improve.
• The worksheets practise concepts and skills that are fundamental to the You Are The Course Book method of teaching, for example: discussion words, spelling statements, tense conversion, idioms, word stress, sentence stress, collocations, connected speech, discussion, and so on.
• In keeping with the YATCB method, why not encourage your students to make their own activities based on these worksheets – then swap them with one another, or give them to other classes.
• You can write on the blank worksheets then photocopy them for your students, or create your own templates modelled on these worksheets
